Jennifer (Constance Reshey) discusses her relationship and personal desires with husband Robert (Joel Blanco) in co-writer/director Joseph McGovern's five-minute dramatic short film Is This the Bed We Lie In?

Filmed in New Jersey, this is a quick and impactful short film with simple yet emotionally honest storytelling and focused, intimate performances from both Reshey and Blanco. With only five minutes, Is This the Bed We Lie In? lands its story quickly and draws us in to these two characters without wasting a moment as we get to know them, understand Jennifer's situation and watch for how the story resolves itself.

Daniel Graham lenses the film with a devotion toward jarring intimacy and amplifying the impact of the short.

There's little doubt that Is This the Bed We Lie In? will find its home on the indie fest circuit. Despite its slight running time, McGovern aims for a big message and for the most part this is a film that lands its story well.
