The latest short film from writer/director Joseph Jeavons is the eight-minute comedy short Questionable. In the film, two criminals accidentally schedulethe same heist on the same day. In order to have any hope of success, they must work together to outwit the unorthodox hero known as Questionable Man.

Jeavons is a bit of an up-and-comer, a student filmmaker with a handful of shorts to his name along with an upcoming feature project in the works. Questionable is fairly typical for Jeavons, a lightly comical flick with hints of bromance and a slightly off-kilter vibe. He's working with some new folks this time around and that gives the film a bit of fresh air and energy.

The small ensemble cast is clearly having fun with Morgan Moses leaving a positive impression as Questionable Man, Jake Watson shining as Duke Maplecloth, and Duy Hong Pham being particularly impressive as Danny. Jeavons is also here once again as Sam and the film is definitely good for some laughs.

Lensing by Eddie Lopez is solid throughout and original music by the team of Alejandro Alvarez, Justin Gordon, and Owen Swift is a nice companion for the film's quirky sensibilities.

Jeavons has already seen his films pick up a handful of awards on the indie fest circuit and it will be interesting to watch him continue to grow as a filmmaker.
